Introduction to Ingenious Rose

I started blogging in May 2007 and thought I would only do it for a couple of weeks. I had no idea what blogging was really all about but now I’ve started I’m hooked. I find the blogosphere very interesting and there are some very supportive and inspirational bloggers out there.

I have to admit that if I’d known anyone would read my blog I would not have called myelf ‘Ingenious Rose’! It certainly sounds quite pompous and overconfident, and that certainly isn’t me at all. I chose the name as a joke so it would look funny when I commented on a friend’s site. But now I’ve chosen it I’ve grown to like it and it does suit my sense of humour.

My blog focusses mainly on my life as the single parent of a lively 4 year old. I try to keep it reasonably lighthearted although I also include other things that interest me such as events in the news, general parenting issues, and life as a 30something. I also have the ocassional rant, it’s my free therapy! Do pop by.
